Wine Event: The Europa-Novacella District Invites You

Who says that the most important events always have to take place in the historic city center? Thanks to local associations, Bolzano’s districts host festivals and cultural events throughout the year. However, the Wine Event, organized by the Bolzano Tourism Board on Friday, June 20th, in Piazza Matteotti in the Europa-Novacella district, is a special highlight for the entire city.

Bolzano’s deep connection with wine is not only evident in its city center, but also in its neighborhoods, where vineyards still thrive and grapevines blend harmoniously with the surrounding architecture—not to mention the rolling hills that embrace the city.

With the Wine Event, Bolzano celebrates its rich winemaking tradition by showcasing local wineries. Ten wine booths will be set up in Matteotti Square, each dedicated to a Bolzano wine label. In addition to the wineries, two booths will offer gourmet delicacies, organized by Bar Romagnolo, a historic venue in the square.

The Wine Event serves as an important platform for local producers to introduce their wines while engaging in one of the city’s most populated districts. On June 20th, visitors will have the chance to taste dozens of red and white wines from the valley basin and surrounding hills, explore their unique characteristics, and receive firsthand recommendations from the winemakers themselves.

Participating wineries are Larcherhof, Eberlehof, Kellerei Bozen, Franz Gojer-Glögglhof, Sonnleiten Falserhof, Schmid-Oberrautner, Perlhof von Max Thurner, Erbhof Mayr-Unterganzner, Thurnhof und Reyter.

A delightful experience for locals and visitors alike! To enhance the evening, the Samantha Giordano Quartet will provide live music, creating a perfect atmosphere for wine lovers.
