At Castel Mareccio, the Glasses of South Tyrol
From March 27 to 30, the Bolzano Tourism and Tourist Office organizes the 98th edition of the Bolzano Wine Exhibition at Castel Mareccio. This event celebrates a local excellence involving the most well-known wineries as well as small producers with important family traditions.
During the event, which represents a journey into South Tyrol's winemaking, approximately 200 wine labels from precious vineyards within the boundaries of the city of Bolzano, Oltradige, Lower Adige, Isarco Valley, Merano, and Burgraviato will be presented.
The wine tasting will be accompanied by dishes prepared by the most renowned chefs of South Tyrol, making a visit to this event a true multisensory experience. Thanks to the established collaboration with the Italian Cuisine Academy, the initiative "L'Oste al Castello" will also be organized this year. On Thursday evening, the chef delighting guests with a three-course menu will be Günther Lobiser of Signaterhof, followed by Anton Dalvai of Dorfnerhof on Friday, and on Saturday evening, Luis Agostini will take over, preceded at 6:00 PM by the Tasting Lab with winemaker Otto Cologna and the cheese king Hansi Baumgartner.
On Sunday, the event will end in the late afternoon with Christine Mair's Tasting Lab, pairing rosé wines and sparkling wines with savory and sweet delicacies. The program of the 98th edition of the Bolzano Wine Exhibition also includes seminars, masterclasses, and guided tours on various themes.
